Oh boy this was a FUN wedding! Aynsley & Brian live in Los Angeles and both have very creative jobs that keep them really busy. I was so happy when they decided to join the Clementine family. I had a blast planning this wedding! Aynsley has unstoppable style which made all the décor elements really fun to talk about. Brian has an extremely upbeat and fun personality which added a lot of lively details in with the music and menu! They are a perfect pair, always laughing, never taking things too serious and just enjoying the engagement.
They got married on June 1st 2013 at The Chicago Illuminating Company and we partnered with some amazing vendors! Thank you Jeremy Lawson for sharing these beautiful photos with us! Congrats again to the newlyweds.

I had the best time planning with Anna and Cyrus! The entire wedding was planned from long distance, they were living in Houston, Texas. I had the pleasure of not just working with the happy couple, but also both sets of parents. Everyone was so fun and loving, it was a great experience.
Anna and Cyrus wanted to incorporate traditions from both of their backgrounds and we had a good time working out all the details. They had a perfect menu and décor that fit their laid back personalities. They had a beautiful ceremony followed by a fun cocktail hour serving traditional American fare. During dinner they switched it up and served an amazing family style Indian menu with many dishes to share. Since the ceremony was a bit more traditional and formal, they really embraced Anna’s zest for style with the décor of the reception. There were a lot of personal touches, her father made all the custom door knob table numbers!
I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful couple and their wonderful families. It was a real honor to have been a part of their special day. I hope you enjoy these photos from J. Brown Photography.

Meg and Chris had a lovely winter wedding last year; March 2013. I just loved working with them. They had so much in common with each other. They are both true “foodies” and they love to experience new restaurants and new menu ideas in their free time. They knew their wedding menu was going to be very important, they really wanted to reflect themselves and their heritage into an amazing meal.
I was so excited to introduce them to the talented Elaina Vazquez of Boutique Bites. I knew she was the perfect caterer for them! Elaina really embraced their ideas for an untraditional menu and the outcome was out of this world. They served a first course spring trio: corn & crab bisque, prosciutto & pea salad with mint and apple, seared scallop with saffron corn puree. Then the guests got to choose from 4 main entrees: Dijon-herbs de provence lamb chops, thyme roasted chicken breast, caraway crusted bone-in pork chops and quail egg ravioli.
Their entire wedding day was so special and it was styled perfectly to match their taste and chosen venues. I hope you enjoy taking a look into their wedding day! Congratulations again Meg & Chris!

Boy oh boy, it’s been a while since our last post! We were so busy in 2013 and we planned and produced so many amazing events. Now that 2014 has arrived, we’ve been hard at work collecting all the images from all the great weddings.
Here is a quick sneak peak of what is to come over the next few months (plus many many more!!)

When I first met Roshelle, I loved her right away! She has a big heart and an even bigger smile and the biggest, most infectious, enthusiastic personality. When I met Alex, a few months into the planning process, he was just the most perfect fit for her. A truly special couple.
Roshelle and Alex were from Racine, Wisconsin; all they wanted was a Chicago wedding with a view. They were worried she didn’t have a big enough budget for Chicago but we worked hard and they were super flexible and the dream came true. They ended up celebrating on the top floor of the Aon Building at the Mid-America Club. The views of Chicago are breath-taking up there!! Take a look at their special day and how amazing their Chicago wedding turned out.

Kelsey and Andrew got married on August 11, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Forest and had their reception at The Exmoor Country Club. They had the most amazing wedding day. It was perfect from start to finish and I’m so happy to have been a part of it. Kelsey and Andrew (and her mom, Tracy) were a dream to work with. They had a lot of great ideas but they also trusted my advice and that of the vendors as well. Together we created a lush, summer wedding filled with special details.
The happy couple met on St. Patrick’s Day, as a nod to that moment, their place card table was a huge arrangement of “Belles of Ireland.” The Father of the Bride even surprised them with some bag pipers who led all the guests inside for dinner. Andrew had a Key Lime martini that he loved while on vacation, so they got the club to create one for their special day.
The guests were wined and dined all night long. They ended the evening with non-stop dancing, it was a blast!

We really enjoyed this elegant affair with guests of honor Nika and Ryan! They got married in June 2012. Every little details was so beautiful, sophisticated and delicate. The white and green colors were so fresh for the time of year and looked amazing in the Peninsula ballroom. Their day couldn’t have gone any smoother and we’re so happy we got to know such a lovely couple.
We hope you enjoy this peak into their wedding day as much as we enjoyed seeing it all come together in person. It was just fabulous!

When I first met Maria, I fell in love with her, she is just about the sweetest person I have ever met. On top of that, her groom, Kent, was so polite, nice, excited and friendly. They are the perfect match for each other.
I had the pleasure of planning her friend’s wedding at The Art Institute’s Modern Wing and I’m so glad that she told Maria to contact me. Maria got married at the ever-popular Ivy Room. We had such a wonderful time bringing all her ideas to life. Maria and Kent knew they wanted an intimate setting with multiple styles of centerpieces that were all low in height. Maria also knew that she wanted a really romantic ceremony. Since their wedding was in November, the sun set early enough that we were able to use a lot of amazing candle light to create a very elegant ceremony and reception.
Lastly, Food for Thought created an outstanding menu for them. Food and beverage was super important to the couple, they really wanted to wine and dine their guests. The menu was exactly what they wanted: red wine poached pear salad, French breast with dates, brussel sprouts, bacon, carrots and a potato mousse as well as Lake Superior Trout with an orange baby fennel salad and chive glaze.

Jessica and Chris had such a lovely wedding in September 2011 at the beautiful Boulder Ridge Country Club. They had a lot of fun golf inspired details like custom made golf ball place cards and golf flags for the table numbers! The Bride is a professional golfer so the theme was very fitting. They had a traditional, elegant affair with some really fun moments: The Groom gave all the Bridesmaids a high five as they came down the aisle at Church! They had a rose petal send off at midnight! They had an unbelievable cupcake tree along with a sweets table and nacho bar! And best part….they had one of the best dance parties I’ve ever seen!!! The dance floor was packed all night long!

Working with Ivana and John was so much fun! John worked in the office right next to Clementine’s and when he learned that we were wedding planners he came over to introduce himself. He told us that he and his fiancé had been putting their wedding off; they were super busy raising their beautiful son. He said they just didn’t know where to start but that they really wanted to get married soon.
So we ended up planning the wedding in about 5 months. I was so happy that we were able to deliver everything they were looking for in their special day. They got married on December 2, 2012 and the weather couldn’t have been nicer; they were able to have their “first look” outside. All their guests loved the fun vibe of cocktails first, followed by a romantic ceremony, followed by another cocktail & hors d’oeuvres hour and unique dinner stations.
Ivana and John provided about 100 frames pictures of all their loved ones. We scattered them all over the entire event space. Guests really enjoyed walking around and looking at all the photos. The guests were even asked to take home whatever photos they wanted. It was a very special day
