Renee & Brian – W Hotel City Center Wedding

January 7th, 2013

Renee & Brian tied the knot on a warm and gorgeous day in March.  They celebrated with 150 of their closest friends and family with a very chic and sophisticated wedding at the W Hotel City Center.  Renee & Brian said their “I Do’s” in a romantic candlelit ceremony while standing under a beautiful white chuppah designed by Studio AG.  They treated their guests to an elaborate cocktail reception with sushi & carving stations followed by a delicious dinner of herbed chicken and seabass.  The guests danced throughout dinner to the sweet sounds of the Arlen Band, Indigo.  They kept the dance floor packed all evening…it was a beautiful night!

Thanks to photographer Andrea Kerbuski for these amazing photos!

New Years Eve

December 31st, 2012

Last year I rang in the New Year at the Evanston Golf Club for Kelsey and Matt’s wedding!  Not only was their wedding very romantic and elegant they had all the bells and whistles for a great New Years Eve party.  They had everything you could ever want….party hats, noise makers, champagne party favors, a sweet and salty station,  a champagne toast at midnight and a balloon drop!  It was such a great wedding and New Years Eve party that nobody wanted the night to end.  It was a great way for Clementine to end 2011 and start 2012!

Chicago Botanic Gardens

December 18th, 2012

Amy and Eric got married at the stunning Chicago Botanic Gardens over Labor Day Weekend 2012.  The weather couldn’t have been better….even though it was supposed to rain all day!  We just on with the plan and prayed we wouldn’t have to use the rain plan.  Sure enough, everything went off without a hitch!  Everything was perfect!! The happy couple, the music, the food, the weather.  It was a true joy.  I hope you enjoy these fantastic pictures of the sweet, sweet Amy and Eric.

Diet may = more stress

July 12th, 2012

Here at Clementine we are all about the Bride and the Groom getting to eat the delicious dinner that they planned for their big day. The rest of the planning process is no different. Diets are obviously a good thing but can cause more stress to an already stressful time. Instead of dieting try being 80/20 percent, 80% healthy and 20% enjoy yourself guilt free. Here are some suggestions that may help.

Eggs are full of protein your body needs throughout the day and keeps you full until lunch. The yolk is also packed with vitamin b12 that assist your metabolism.

Almond Butter (all natural & raw) also give you the things you need to power through your day. It is a good source of magnesium which powers cells to metabolize efficiently. *try adding to celery or apples

Avocados are full of the good fat your body needs. They are rich in L-carnitine, an amino acid that fuels the body.

Lean Meat is another source of protein that our ancestors have been eating since day one (unless you’re a vegetarian who we love as well). They are packed with amino acids that help rebuild tissue and break down food during digestion.

Cheese (grass fed cows) contain conjugated linoleic acid which helps your body break down fat and build lean muscle.

Pickles are a little off the map but they are a great little snack that are only 7 calories and curb that salty craving.

Dark Chocolate on the other hand curb your sweet tooth and have been known to reduce LDL which is “bad” cholesterol.

Green Tea has catechins and anit oxidents that are anti-viral and anti-bacterial to help your immune system, no one wants a sick bride! It also has caffeine to give you energy for your busy days.

Favorite Favors

July 5th, 2012

Wedding favors are a great opportunity to add a personal touch to your wedding. Plus,  who doesn’t love a good party favor!? Whether the favor is something the two of you love or something paired with a clever saying make sure thought is put into it. Your guests are sure to appreciate the thought and will most likely talk it about all the way home.

*These ideas were found perusing Style Me Pretty and Bridal Snob, while lounging in the air conditioning one HOT day.
